My Work

I have followed a varied career including:

  • A gap year with Esso Petroleum's head office in London 1977-8
  • Voluntary work with Youth For Christ before becoming Director of their Welwyn Hatfield centre 1981-1988
  • After that, various posts within Hertfordshire County Council, including:
    • Education Officer (Trading Standards)
    • Training Co-ordinator (Trading Standards)
    • Training Officer (Community Information Directorate)
  • And now, a life change having trained for the Baptist Ministry, serving as Student Minister at Somersham Baptist Church before being appointed to the ministry team of Rising Brook Baptist Church in Stafford

My Training

I have had the privilege to train at a wide variety of establishments including:

  • Studying Modern History at Regent's Park College, Oxford
  • Gaining a Certificate in Human Resource Development (NVQ4) from Luton University
  • Achieving a distinction for a Diploma in Theology and Pastoral Studies at Spurgeon's College in South London
  • Gaining a distinction in Master of Theology degree in Radical Free Church Movements also through Spurgeon's College. You can read my dissertation on church meetings here.
