In relation to my music it's a case of a trip down memory lane! I play guitar badly, and bass guitar even worse. I even used to write my own material. Highlights in my musical career include:
  • Working with rock band Really Free as roadie and (very) occasional bass guitarist and tambourine-ist - this included a visit to California.
  • Forming and leading college folk group 'Infinitum' 1979-81
  • Having various songs published by Sea Dream Music
  • Playing bass in rock band 'Unschooled Ruffians' 1981-2
  • Visiting Poland as sound engineer for rock band 'Extrax'
  • Rachel Morris recording my song 'Open Up Your Eyes' on the cassette 'Open Your Eyes'
  • Playing bass on various church worship tapes including 'Images and Reflections' recorded by David and Rachel Burden with the Christchurch (Baptist) music group. These cassettes are still available through Garden Music
  • Forming and leading LIFT a worship band comprising musicians from our churches in Welwyn Hatfield. Although I have left the band because of our move, they are continuing with a new line-up.
  • I led one of the worship bands at Rising Brook Baptist Church for a while.
  • Most recently, I organised a reunion concert for one of my all time favourite bands After The Fire who not only reformed and recorded new material, but also released their albums on CD as well as previously unheard tracks that would have formed their next album had they not called it a day (just prior to their No 5 hit in the USA). It's also worth checking the band's myspace site. Pics of the gig can be viewed here.
